Set amidst the tense days immediately following the Japanese surrender at the end of WWII, I was responsible for the design and styling of the Japanese civillian extras, pre and post war, utilising my intimate knowledge of traditional kimono dress. Period costumes from LA which were also styled to complete an American college campus in the late 1930s.
